what should i pack for a week long trip with an infant?
im taking my niece and nephew to california with me for a week,
my nephew is 3, no big deal i always travel with him.
but this time i am also taking my niece who is 6 weeks old, we are leaving on saturday, and i am going completly blank on what else to pack for her,
so if you were going to be going on a week long trip with an infant what all would you pack for her?
also what all should i put in the diaper bag? obviously since im flying i only want to bring what is totally essential, the flight is going to be about 2 1/2 hours.
and of course i know what to pack for her but i am just checking to make sure i am bringing every thing she needs.
For the plane
At least one change of clothes, at least 4-6 diapers and a packet of wipes, warm blanket, 2 burp cloths, changing pad, pacifiers, enough formula for 24 hours (just in case there's any delays), at least 2 bottles with nipples and caps and a bottle of infant tylenol drops for potential earaches (though ask the parents and pediatrician about dosages first)
For the week:
8-10 footie pyjamas
7 onsies
10 outfits
socks
7 bibs
7 burp cloths
basic first aid equipment - aspirator, rectal thermometer
2-3 crib/pack&play sheets
Travel steriliser
Extra bottles and nipples
Baby sling to help you on and off the aircraft leaving hands relatively free to deal with the toddler!
