Messenger Bag For Laptop
Help! Will the small magnetic clasp on my messenger bag damage my laptop's hard drive?
I am leaving for the airport, need an answer ASAP - will the magnet on my bag affect my computer? My dad says magnets damage computers but this one may or may not be strong enough to affect it.
And what about long-term use? Is that ok?
You should be fine. The magnet needs to be pretty powerful and in close proximity to the hard drive. I had an Ipod case with a magnetic clasp (the Ipod was a 60gb so it was a hard drive) and had no problems with it. Have a good trip
