In fact, the "Sumptuary Laws" of Elizabethan England dictated who could wear the color pink as it was a symbol of the wealth and social status of the person wearing it.
Pink is associated with joy and happiness. Where red is deep love, pink is affection, caring with a touch of immaturity. It is said to stimulate energy and confidence. It can also symbolize feminine health as depicted by the pink ribbon which is the international emblem for the awareness of and fight against breast cancer. the In design, pink tends to be associated with sweetness, as in sugary delights like candy, donuts, and bubblegum.
